about

Based on my childhood memories of the wonderful Avro Vulcan flying in Argyll Scotland. Also my love of building Airfix kits!

lyrics

I've just finished building and Airfix Vulcan bomber
Got the Humbrol paint, polystyrene cement and I love it
When I was a child I would see them fly
Rumbling through the Argyllshire sky
I've just finished building an Airfix Vulcan bomber.

Machrihanish was a base for the Vulcan Bomber
Down by Paul's place in the Mull of Kintyre
I remember one time it was such a thrill
I was standing high up on a hill
When down in the valley flew an Avro Vulcan bomber.

Blue Steel could be deployed by the Vulcan bomber
Cold War nukes Commie, back at ya 'duck and cover'
The delta wings on that flying machine
Held four Olympus jet engines
I will never ever forget the howl of a Vulcan bomber.

about

Angus Self Edinburgh, UK

These are all songs written and performed by me at home. My band Tinnitus Transfer (with Mike on drums and Peter on bass) play heavier, more stripped down versions of some of these songs live. We started out in 2008 and played our first gig in 2010.
